40Job Description:Basic Function: The Fleet Service Technician serves as a crucial member of the Tri-State Ambulance operations and support team. This position participates with the Fleet & Facilities Operations Manager in performing preventive maintenance and repair services to a fleet of at least 25 ambulances, 7 wheelchair accessible vans, and 5 support vehicles to ensure safe and reliable units for our EMS professionals.

Position Qualifications
Education/Learning Experience
Required: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. Successful completion of
appropriate trade school or technical course work in gasoline powered mechanics may be substituted for the required work experience.
Desired: Successful completion of trade school with certificate or degree in a vehicle technician program.
Work Experience
Required: One year of experience in the maintenance and repair of vehicles.
Desired: Two years of experience with Ford E Series vehicles.
Skills/Knowledge
Required: Ability to work unsupervised. Recognize and prioritize tasks. Basic computer skills.
Licenses/Certifications
Required: Valid driver's license. Emergency Vehicle Operations Course within six months of hire.
Desired: Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in two of the following four
areas: brakes, electrical, engine repair, and steering and suspension
