Job Summary

Come be a part of our new inside sales initiative! West Bend is looking for driven, self-motivated and customer focused individuals to join our team. As a Customer Care Sales Representative, you’ll work with new leads, and have the potential to earn quarterly bonuses in addition to base compensation.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

As a licensed agent, secure new business presented to us through leads from our agency partners. Work with customers to identify their exposures and provide them with insurance products to reduce their exposure risk. Educate customers on insurance coverage and make recommendations based on their needs. Cross-sell additional products and coverages to help enhance accounts. Work with underwriting to provide comprehensive, competitive quotes. Communicate with the customer in an easy-to-understand, jargon-free manner. Communicate regularly with agency partners to discuss individual accounts and quality of warm leads submissions. Provide exceptional service to all customers. Document all activities within our agency management system. May handle overflow calls in other phone queues based on volume and departmental needs. Other responsibilities may be assigned.

 

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in the commercial lines insurance industry with 2 years of commercial lines sales experience
  • Customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to problem solve, analyze, make decisions and multi-task
  • Communication and rapport building skills
  • Self-motivated, driven, confident & consultative sales approach with a high attention to detail
  • Knowledge of agency management systems, quoting systems, and replacement cost estimators

Preferred Education and Training

  • Property & Casualty agent’s license (required)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Associate in Commercial Lines (AU) designation and/or completion of at least 2 parts of CIC program
