Job Description


The Mechanic is responsible for diesel mechanic repairs, maintains and rebuilds engines on a wide variety of construction and marine equipment. The successful candidate will understand the equipment's electrical system, engine, and all of its working parts.

If you are someone that has 5 or more years of experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, familiar with electrical and electronic systems, this is a position for you!

Mechanic Responsibilities:

  • Keep all equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules
  • Repairs engines, run diagnostic tests, find the sources of the programs, and then removes and replace faulty parts
  • Reports and documents all repairs and maintenance in work order software system
  • Corrects equipment deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components, parts, or systems

Mechanic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years' experience in industrial and/or heavy duty construction equipment
  • Associates degree in diesel mechanics or related required
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Detailed oriented, self-motivated, and able to work alone
  • Propose solutions to address equipment issues, improve efficiencies, reduce cost, and address safety issues
  • Ability to learn new skills
  • Understanding of an array of tools and technical equipment
  • Ability to travel up to 50% - depending on jobsite location and needs
