Employment Type: Full-time

Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll assist the Pharmacist with all aspects of prescription preparation and delivery while maintaining excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete Basic and Advanced Technician training for Computer Rx proficiency
  • Provide excellent customer service to all pharmacy customers
  • Answer phones and handle non-pharmacist inquiries
  • Receive new prescriptions and refill requests
  • Gather information required for preparing prescriptions
  • Record data before dispensing prescriptions
  • Store written prescriptions after filling
  • Enter prescription data into computer system
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing prescriptions
  • Maintain inventory of pharmacy supplies
  • Place filled prescriptions in pickup area
  • Order, receive, and stock medications
  • Prepare insurance claims and verify payments
  • Assist customers with over-the-counter medications
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and register new customers
  • Handle cash register transactions and record logs
  • Perform housekeeping duties in pharmacy
  • Make deliveries to clients and accept payments
  • Participate in staff development activities

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid pharmacy technician license in good standing with appropriate board

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients
  • Detail oriented
  • Customer service oriented
