Position Summary

The role of Driver is to ensure 100% guest satisfaction/safety by operating the courtesy shuttle to provide transportation to and from local destinations for our guests.

Operates Hotel Shuttle Service
Ensure a delightful, seamless arrival and departure for our guests.
Greets guest and welcomes to hotel city
Keeps current on hotel services and local attractions to answer guest questions and promote hotel services.
Handles all guest complaints, comments, observations and challenges in a timely manner to effectively achieve full guest satisfaction
Drives shuttle to pick-up and drop-off guests to local destinations on a by request or schedule basis
Follows airport procedures and shuttle traffic rules to pick up and drop off guests
Logs trips and retains fuel receipts in accordance with hotel process
Loads and unloads guest luggage from shuttle, using cart and transporting to guest room when required
Keeps in contact with the front office and other drivers through provided radio equipment to keep hotel informed of status and location

Creates guest satisfaction and exceeds expectations by providing the service expectations and standards:

o Provides a safe and secure environment in the hotel by ensuring proper security methods and procedures are carried out consistently

o Ensures that all employees follow safety rules and procedures

o Takes corrective action where required to improve safety of work areas

o Improves safety and security at hotel by communicating hazards with department heads and taking appropriate corrective actions

o Completes daily security log, including pertinent information from the shift

o Monitor all activity and diligently monitor building video surveillance

o Inspects hotel regularly to observe potential security or safety related problems and takes necessary actions to alleviate them

o Keeps hotel management promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance

o Understand written procedures for handling any emergency that would require partial or complete evacuation of the hotel such as fire, severe injuries, power failure, or bomb threats

o Responds to all emergency situations immediately

o Takes appropriate action to safeguard guests, employees and the hotel

o Processes all written reports involving security related incidents and customer or employee accidents

o Handles complaints, investigates, and thoroughly reports on: customer or employee injuries, thefts, assaults, lost property, car accidents, loud parties, vandalism, and other guest complaints as necessary

o Reviews accident investigations to ensure accurate and complete reporting

o Ensures that all hotel entrances and exits are locked and unlocked per hotel policy

o Maintains hotel key management procedures and ensures that all keys are accountable and only authorized persons have access to keys

o Closes down the different outlets each night as per post orders

o Ensures that all meeting rooms and exhibit rooms are secured to keep unauthorized persons out of the area and prevent theft

o Maintains responsibility for handling any emergency that would require partial or complete evacuation of the hotel such as fire, severe injuries, power failure, or bomb threats

o Logs and delivers all in-house packages and monitors out going deliveries

o Checks in and out all vendors to the hotel o Meets with leaders on a regular basis


Completes other duties to assist hotel
Cleans and maintains lobby area when not operating shuttle, including but not limited to; cart cleaning and polishing, washing front windows, stocking newspapers
Assists in other departments as shuttle schedule allows, wearing provided radio to keep in contact with front desk
Assists in arranging taxi or other transportation service for guests traveling outside shuttle's service area
Keeps shuttle fueled and reports maintenance issues to engineering for prompt repair arrangement
Picks up needed materials locally for departments when orders or other shipping arrangements cannot be made.

Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations.
Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service and experience
Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems
Provides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality

Requirement/Skills
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Commitment to exceptional guest service
Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude
Adhere to the policies and procedures of the hotel
Adhere to safe driving practices and traffic law
Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends
State Driver's License with no restrictions that prevent operating hotel shuttle.
Ability to clear all necessary airport certification requirements to operation shuttle in airport



Physical Demands
Ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time
Able to drive for long periods of time, frequently stopping and getting into and out of a vehicle

Lift, carry, or otherwise move and use of force or exertion up to 75 lbs. Use of manual dexterity of common office equipment; such as but not limited to, computers, printers, phones ect.

Other Information

The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day. All associates must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shift and alter assigned duties as business dictates. In addition, this is a hospitality business, and a hospitable service atmosphere must be maintained at all times
