Job SummaryOur New York offices are seeking entry-level Bridge Engineers to work on both large, signature bridges as well as local bridge projects involving conceptual planning, through design, construction, and completion. The role of Bridge Engineer will be to work with team members, under the direct supervision of a professional engineer, performing analysis and design of bridge components to ensure reliability, resource efficiency, quality deliverables and cost-effectiveness. The position involves the development of bridge 3-D modeling, bridge analysis & design.Responsibilities & QualificationsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform engineering calculations, analysis and design of concrete and steel bridge structures and elements under the direct supervision of Senior Bridge Engineers.
- Develop or assist in developing structural details and construction plans.
- Prepare geometric / bridge layouts, construction specifications, and material quantity calculations, load rating analysis.
- Familiarity with AASHTO design code.
- Computer skills desired include finite element software, Computer Aided Drafting.
- Familiarity with developing bridge analysis models.
- Interface with staff from other disciplines (highway, traffic, civil etc.) to support bridge projects.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Master's Degree or PhD Candidate in Civil Engineering with a focus on bridges or structures.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of$49,600 - $89,300 annually for this position and local market.
