Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Construction Inspector to come join TYLin's PMCM team!

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Secure working limits in accordance with Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) rules for roadway worker protection.

  • Respond to any Maintenance of Way failures.

  • Perform all necessary track/signal inspections and tests.

  • Oversee the performance of railroad contractors performing maintenance-of-way activities, including review and approval of associated invoices.

  • Provide documentation of FRA Compliant Records for signal and track system.

  • Provide monthly progress reports to the Senior Project Manager.

  • Knowledge of physical characteristics of the existing railroad.

  • Other duties as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or similar with 10+ years of experience in engineering required.

  • Experience with LIRR is required.

  • Candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $117,000- $140,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
