Job Description
What You'll Do

  • Perform field testing of roofing and waterproofing materials and other architectural systems including windows, doors, curtainwalls, storefronts, skylights, masonry, metal and composite panels, exterior cladding and roofing systems
  • Conduct evaluations, investigations, and site observations of existing buildings
  • Document observations by transmitting daily reports detailing site activities
  • Provide testing and consulting services for the built environment, property condition assessments, specialized testing, and forensic investigation analyses
  • Other responsibilities may include observation of exterior insulation finishing systems (EIFS), waterproofing, roofing, or window assemblies
  • Daily communication is required with site contractors, project managers, and senior staff members
  • Preparing reports and proposals
  • Maintaining and develop a client database
  • Managing budgets and preparing invoices
  • Mentoring other staff
  • Promoting a safe workplace and proper use of PPE

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma or GED required; B.Arch or M.Arch (NCARB) accredited by National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) or BS in Engineering, Building Science, or related degree from an ABET accredited college/university preferred
    • 2 years of relevant building facilities consulting experience required
  • In lieu of education, 4 years of experience as ECS Facilities Associate II, or equivalent combination of experience, certification, and education required
    • Minimum 8 years of experience managing structural or building enclosure projects and providing assessments and investigative services (forensics) for the built environment required
