Job Description
Summary

The Warehouse clerk facilitates product delivery from its customers and vendors to the kitchen operations.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties
  • Operates basic warehouse equipment.
  • Transport products, equipment, and supplies to the operations.
  • Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours.
  • Abide by all safety policies, procedures and requirements of the job.
  • Regular attendance is required for the position.
  • Load and unload equipment, products, and supplies.
  • Arrange products in the warehouse as directed by warehouse management.
  • Fill in the production sheet as needed.
  • Pull product for next next-day delivery.
  • Maintain the work area in a neat, orderly, and sanitary manner.
  • Correctly and promptly follow specified company procedures required for the appropriate handling of all Emergency Responses and Safety practices
  • Perform other related Warehouse duties as required or assigned for temporary coverage.
  • Employees will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties requested by management.
 
 


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and independently.
  • Able to interact with others with courtesy and tact.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Load trailers via carts or stack cases on the floor of a truck trailer/container.
  • Maintain Food Safety expectations at all times, including general housekeeping and specific sanitation tasks as required.
  • Ability to respond to crisis situations in a calm and effective manner.
  • Ability to complete projects on schedule.
  • Repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Willing and able to work at heights using ladders.
  • Able to work in an environment with extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.
  • The position requires sitting; climbing and/or balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling; standing; walking; manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; use of vision; pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying 25-50 pounds.
  • Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes.

Experience/Education
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • High school diploma/G.E. D preferred
  • Prefer experience in forklift, hand truck, and pallet jack operation and able to lift 25-50 pounds frequently.  

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory experience.

Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, nonexempt position.  Days and hours of work may vary depending on the needs of the business.  Must be willing to work any shift or days off as leadership assigns.

Travel Requirements
As needed.
