We are currently looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to support production at our Lenexa plant. Essential to TC Transcontinental Packaging operations, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining all production equipment and plant facilities in proper working condition for maximum productivity, while meeting or exceeding safety regulations.
  • Fri-Sat-Sun 7pm to 7am (Work 36 hours get paid for 40)
  • Will need to be able train on Weekend Day shift. Duration of training will vary based on previous work experience and ability to demonstrate job specific skills required.

When your actions lead to success.
  • Communicates with production personnel regarding problems or potential problems with equipment Perform troubleshooting of equipment and perform adjustments.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment on flexographic printing presses, bag machines, slitters, laminating equipment, etc.
  • Installs, starts-up and shuts-down equipment according to safety procedures.
  • Works with equipment vendors on installation of new equipment and coordinates efforts of equipment vendors for repairs of production equipment and building components.
  • Conducts daily inspections of and performs maintenance as needed on incinerator equipment, air compressors, conveyors, and compactors.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on printing and converting equipment according to schedule and specifications.
  • Maintains required maintenance records for equipment.
When your expertise drives us.
  • High school Diploma or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience performing mechanical and electrical equipment repair on industrial manufacturing and/or commercial equipment OR advanced education or technical degree
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing machinery controlled by Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems
  • Knowledge and experience with electrical (AC/DC and high voltage equipment)
  • Maintenance experience in the flexographic printing industry preferred but not required.
  • Ability to occasionally work overtime
  • Ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and twisting
  • Ability to tolerate strong solvent smell in parts of the plant
