Your responsibilities

Summary

The Quality Technician reports to Quality Machining and is responsible for the inspection of finished products for quality standards, scrap collection, and assisting quality engineers.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Inspect and designate parts in quality hold cage
  • Check parts for quality standards
  • Collect and track scrap

Your profile

Specific Responsibilities of the Job

  • Inspect parts in quality hold; categorize as disposition, scrap out, or return to line; spray paint mark accordingly
  • Collect scrap from appropriate production lines
  • Audit products prior to shipment
  • Perform scheduled quality audits such as tag audits verifying correct gear and serial number matches tag
  • Check crankshafts for contamination such as dust or debris
  • Respond to machine operator questions pertaining to quality
  • Provide information to and assist quality engineers
  • Review product tags for correct information

  • Accurately ensures product complies with quality standards
  • Designates parts appropriately
  • Provide valuable updated information to quality engineers
