Position Type:Permanent Full Time/Part Time:Full Time

$2,351.96 to $2,822.35 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and may include occasional evenings as required.Performs skilled professional work analyzing, interpreting, and displaying data sets utilizing visual dynamic products including Geographic Information Systems (GIS), graphic design software, and on-line dashboards. Datasets will include roadways, transit, bicycle, pedestrian, trails, crashes, and travel patterns. This position will also be involved with maintaining and updating Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization (SCTPO) documents, including the Long Range Transportation Plan, Transportation Improvement Program, and Congestion Management System. Applicants must be detail-orientated and have the ability to manage projects from concept to completion.

Please note that although the SCTPO utilizes certain Brevard County services, including Human Resources for posting of job openings, the selected candidate for this position will be employed by the Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization (SCTPO) and not the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners.

REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Urban/Regional Planning, Geography, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Programming, or a closely related field. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Knowledge of metropolitan planning organizations, Brevard County roadway systems, and experience in ArcGIS software, data analysis, and traffic modeling is preferred.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The SCTPO is not able to sponsor visas.
