Job Description
Expanding company in Waukesha is looking to hire a Quality Certification Tech to generate well written and thorough certificates of heat treating and actively manage the system to generate certifications within one day of order arrival in the certification cell. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator (written and verbal) with the ability to manage their area with minimal supervision. The Quality Certification Tech will collaborate with all other quality functions and will provide resources and assistance to coworkers to insure the consistent flow of product through the Quality Department. A high school diploma is required, and one year of heat treating experience is preferred. Work Hours: 10PM-6:30 AM S-Th

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE QUALITY CERTIFICATION TECH:
  • Verify the completion of all processing requirements before generating the certification
  • Track all processing steps in the computer system (Bluestreak)
  • All quality characteristics are completed and within order specifications
  • Test material hardness performed and within specification
  • Verify all heat treat times and temperatures on corresponding furnace charts
  • Identify any discrepancies and take appropriate action to resolve in a timely manner
  • Generate Certifications that are accurate and grammatically correct
  • Verify that all processing conditions and times meet all specifications attached to the order
  • Include all information required by customer purchase orders
  • Insure that certifications are signed electronically before distribution
  • Verify containers - part quality and quantity before approving certification
  • Maintain the accuracy of all mechanical outsource cells daily
