Job Description Summary:

This position is responsible for ensuring effective and profitable manufacturing operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Establishes Operations processes, procedures, and controls within assigned facility to achieve company's objectives related to quality, efficiency, profitability, and customer and employee satisfaction.
  • Capable of performing all essential functions of Production Supervisor.
  • Partners effectively with other departments to achieve goals.
  • Responsible to oversee one of the following organization-wide areas, as directed: Engineering, Quality Control & Compliance, Maintenance or Safety.
  • Works independently, efficiently manage time, and use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and development opportunities to direct reports.
  • Leads continuous improvement programs based upon Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Identifies and recommends Capital Projects with ROI calculations.
  • Monitors budget and costs to ensure financial performance indicators are achieved.
  • Employ effective, respectful and persuasive spoken and written communication skills.
  • Ensure compliance with work instructions and/or Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to all current company policies.
  • Ensures effective staffing, wage, and performance decisions.
  • Ensure effective employee relations.
  • Maintain highest levels of ethics and confidentiality.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others including wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Functions effectively in a fast paced, diverse, team environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in business or related subjects, or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years related experience.
  • Ability to operate basic computer equipment and peripherals as well as company standard software.
  • Able to effectively perform all basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.)
  • Ability to effectively read and interpret industry specific documentation.
  • Advanced knowledge of all manufacturing equipment.
  • Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Motor Vehicle Record Check.
  • Verified eligibility for employment in the United States.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.

Environment and Physical Demands:

  • A traditional work week (M-F) with MDI core hours. Work during Non-traditional hours periodically required.
  • Basic vision is required.
  • Continuously works in a typical factory environment (high noise levels, machinery, conveyors, dust, chemicals, and temperature fluctuations.)
  • Occasionally works in a typical office setting which includes;
    • Continuously sit, use of computer monitor, mouse, and keyboard, standard telephone, hearing and talking.
    • Occasionally lift, reach, rotate hands, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Other:

  • Some travel within the state, limited outside of state.
