What You'll Do:
The Rikoon Group is seeking an Associate Portfolio Manager/Research Analyst to provide support to the office and financial advisors in management of approximately $850 million in assets.

  • Support advisors in research and trades of ETFs, mutual funds, stocks, and bonds
  • Assist with monitoring of current and prospective investments
  • Assist with special investment/client-related projects
  • Assist with tracking and valuation of alternative investments
  • Respond to client service requests
  • Prepare investment proposals and monitor portfolios for rebalancing
  • Balancing multiple roles across the firm - advisory, financial planning, operations, relationship management - through a variety of tasks
  • Follow and have knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Develop skills and knowledge to progress into Portfolio Manager role.

What You'll Bring:

  • 2 or more years of professional work experience
  • Introductory knowledge and interest in investments and financial planning
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic, detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and organize workflow
  • Ability to obtain a securities representative license (Series 65) in first year of employment
  • BA/BS degree preferred (additional work experience required for those without a degree)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
