Job Description:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree required in business, engineering, information technology, digital systems, portfolio/program management or similar field or equivalent years of experience and education. Master's degree preferred.

Certification/Registration/Licensure:

Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and/or Agile certifications desired.

Experience:

A minimum of 8 years of business-related execution experience, to include extensive 5+ years in portfolio/program/product management, management of large, complex programs/projects/work teams. Demonstrated experience with both Agile and traditional execution models and enterprise maturity of execution centers of excellence. Experience leading team in waterfall, agile and lean six-sigma methodology.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role leads the enterprise matrix Project Management function which includes traditional Waterfall execution and Portfolio Management Office. Collaborates with the Director, Agile Center of Excellence on enterprise strategic execution. Provides leadership, direction, and oversight of all enterprise and regional program, project and strategic agile coach, and scrum resources. This role brings discipline of business acumen and execution models to align programs, projects, and work teams to strategic and operational goals. This role also ensures that the project management function operates in complete alignment with the enterprise operating model. Provides program, project and work team scorecard reporting, analysis of all programs and projects, corresponding impacts to specification/scope, budget, delivery timetables, and resource capacity vs. demand. The Director is responsible for leading, managing, engaging, and developing a team of staff members.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develops Functional Goal & Strategies, aligning with enterprise and regional goals and strategies.

2. Conducts scans of the execution external environment, leading practices & market trends, and judging the impact on the enterprise.

3. Contributes to the strategic plans and develops functional operational plans within the enterprise operating model. Communicates these plans to inform, align Project Management staff, and gain their commitment.

4. Analyzes enterprise & regional resource capacity vs. demand systems selection, maintenance, monitoring, reporting and issue resolution through operating model decision making structure.

5. Responsible for fiscal management using established processes to ensure accountability for effective operations and resource management.

6. Responsible for human resource management, using established processes to select, align, develop, motivate, manage, engage and retain a team of highly skilled managers and staff.

7. Supports excellence in service and clinical quality. Align work to ensure a seamless delivery of quality patient care and safety, excellence in patient experience and customer service.

8. Provides organizational leadership to accomplish goals and objectives using integrated processes and initiatives while modeling collaboration.

6. Maintains accountability for implementation of requirements of regulatory agencies
7. Serves as liaison to the community
