Job Summary: Responsible for the security and support facilities during assigned shift. Responsible for security policies and procedures as it applies to the Accounting and Internal Controls procedures and the Indiana Gaming Commission rules and the station bill. Assumes the responsibilities of the Security Shift Manager as necessary.
Service Standards: Providing a thoughtful greeting, thoughtful interaction and a thoughtful closing to our guests.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Essential Job Functions:
* If a Licensed EMT, provides EMT Services to Patrons and Team Members as necessary and within the parameters mandated by State Regulations
* Responsible and accountable for the Security Officers, Lead Security Officers, Emergency Medical Technicians on the Riverboat and Support Facilities.
* Safeguard company assets, including Team Members and guests.
* Enforce Tropicana Evansville policies and procedures, including rules that apply to the Internal Controls and the Indiana Gaming Commission rules and regulations.
* Assist with the training of new Security Team Members.
* Review all Patron Accident Reports and Security Incident Reports prior to submission to upper management.
* Escort chips, tokens, and cash.
* Administer minor first aid when required.
* Maintain patron relations.
* Evaluate Lead Security Officers, Emergency Medical Technicians and Security Officers.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Other duties may be assigned at any time.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages 1 to 2 subordinate Security Leads (when necessary) who supervise a total of 8 or more Team Members in the Security Department. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The Team Member frequently is required to stand and walk. The Team Member is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Team Member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work in a smoking environment.
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Must be able to obtain an Indiana Gaming Commission License.
