https://4h.uada.edu/Summary of Job Duties:This position provides support and oversight to the state 4-H Tech Changemakers program.
Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Teen Tech Changemaker Training - This position will lead the training and coordination of teen leaders across Arkansas. This will include meeting coordination, communication and tools such as curriculum and iPads.
2. Marketing & Promotion - This position will lead the marketing and promotion of Tech Changemakers, which includes finding groups to present to, having handouts and support materials prepared and gathering impact data for program outcomes.
3. Connecting Tech Changemakers to the larger program - This position will help youth in the Tech Changemaker program connect to leadership and skill development in their local counties as well as in district and state opportunities. Connection opportunities like Ambassadors and State Officers will help them build a skill set to help with career planning and college readiness.
4. Be aware and able to share trends in instructional methods and educational technology.
5. Assist in training agents on use of new curriculum materials and models.
6. Research and respond to inquiries and requests for information related to 4-H curriculum processes and issues from faculty and staff.
7. Coordinate the preparation and dissemination of a variety of reports and publications for the 4-H department.
8. Collaborate with state and county 4-H professionals to identify program emphasis and direction for Arkansas 4-H.
9. Promote public understanding and support for 4-H and Extension programs.
10. Participate in professional development activities to support growth within the programmatic assignment and assistance in career growth.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Extension or Ag Education, Education or related field of study is required.

Must satisfactorily pass Arkansas State Police and Arkansas Central Registry of Child Maltreatment screenings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of experience with Tech Changemakers or similar youth technology program.
  • Ability to develop, organize, and deliver educational programs
  • Ability to develop and/or organize educational curriculum for youth audiences
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; must be self-motivated and directed with the ability to achieve measurable results
  • Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills and willingness to serve diverse audiences
  • Previous work experience with Extension 4-H Youth Development and/or Extension preferred.
  • Understands principles and trends regarding the development of curriculum.
  • Has knowledge of methods of teaching and instruction.
  • Possesses knowledge in technical writing.
  • Has knowledge of various needs assessment and research methods.
  • Skilled in evaluating standards in curriculum.
  • Able to solve problems independently and manage projects alone.
  • Can use computers and other forms of technology to gather data, communicate and report to other individuals and agencies.
