The Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology is seeking a Research Administrator 2 to play a pivotal role in pre-award administration for both intra- and extramurally funded research awards under the guidance of the Department Chair, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and other departmental leaders. Collaborating with fellow research administrative staff, you will primarily oversee all aspects of pre-award administration for Departmental Principal Investigators (PIs). In this role, you will develop and manage research proposals, awards, and transactions related to contract and grant management. This includes maintaining comprehensive records in compliance with institutional and research sponsor policies. Finally, you will handle proposals of moderate scope, such as single investigator NSF proposals, requiring thorough analysis of financial information and reports encompassing various factors like budgets, salaries, and expenses. Hourly range: $28.20-$60.57
Qualifications

Required: * 3+ years of research adminstration experience; * 3+ year of financial, clerical, or adminstrative experience; * Intepersonal skills to effectively communicate information and establish cooperative working relationships; * Ability to work as a member of a team; * Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with various stakeholders; Ability to set priorities and complete ongoing tasks with competing deadlines; * Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft Suite software, especially excel; * High School Diploma. Preferred: * Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field, or equivalent adminstrative experience; * Strong organizational skills to effectively create and maintain administrative and financial files.
