The opportunity:

This position is responsible for the accurate and timely payments of daily loss expenses. Additionally, this position will review outstanding checks reporting to clients and our parent company.

This role will require you to be on-site at the Portland office 2-3 days per week.

How you will contribute:

  • Input vendor's loss expense invoices attaching to the correct claim.

  • For vendors with high volumes Uploads loss expense invoice data information to Admin System linking each invoice to the correct claim.

  • Process all other company's checks requests.

  • Create payment batches, balance, and upload into software for manager approval.

  • Print checks and check registers.

  • Create loss expense data files, balance, confirm totals and input to the finance Loss expense spreadsheets.

  • Provide finance with check registers.

  • Manage the general expense invoice process.

  • Files copies of checks and ensures each has appropriate invoice backup.

  • Conducts vendor research.

  • Administers unclaimed property process.

  • Review bank exception report, placing stop payments, and research check inquires on bank website.

  • Process, record, and disperse claimant repayment checks sent to the CASA lockbox.

  • Disperseall incoming checks received by DRMS bymail.

What you will bring with you:

  • Minimum 1 years' experience in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping required

  • Proficient in basic math skills and accounting procedures

  • Ability to work independently, initiate and prioritize regular work duties and small projects, with detail oriented, organized time management skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Strong computer skills, proficient in PC environment, proficient with MS Word, Excel, and e-mail systems

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work professional and effectively with co-workers, clients, claimants, vendors, and others with whom FullscopeRMS does business
