The Machine Sales Representative is responsible for the sale, rental, and/or leasing of new and used machines to business and industrial establishments or individuals at sales office, store, jobsite, showroom, or customer's place of business.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Warren CAT sources, Bid lettings, Internet Web sites, and other sources. Maintain information on these customers and activities on Warren CAT software.
  • Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talks with customers on sales floor or by phone.
  • Display or demonstrate product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features.
  • Quote prices and credit terms, and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
  • Work with other sales representatives for Product Support opportunities and other opportunities.
  • Work with Warren CAT software fluently to determine machine options, features, benefits, applications, and attachments.
  • Coordinates and/or participates in customer training.
  • Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts.
  • Investigate and resolve customer problems with products, attachments, and deliveries.
  • Attend trade shows and trade association meetings/conventions.
  • Study and understand machine abilities, limitations, and applications, as well as understands our customers' business(es).
  • Work with goals, targets, and quotas where minimum expectations must be met.
  • Timely submits reports and forecast as directed by management.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; and/or five or more years related experience and/or training.
  • Reasonable familiarity with manufacturer's literature and how to apply it to selling our product.
  • Excellent communication skills to read, write, and interpret instructions in written, verbal, and/or diagram form.
  • Excellent conflict management to including strong listening, ability to control emotions in heightened situations, accountability for customer feedback, and follow-through to find solutions and ensure customer service excellence.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Required travel up to 30%.
