Staffmark is in search of an Extrusion Operator in Pryor, OK, to join a leading manufacturer of plastic tubing.
Pay Rate: $16-$20 Hourly (Experience-dependent)
Shifts Available: 2nd and 3rd Shifts, Monday to Friday
In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks involved in the extrusion and manufacturing of polyethylene pipe. This includes activities such as coiling, taping, stacking, and packaging of the pipe. Additionally, you will be expected to perform basic quality checks, recording any defects or relevant information on necessary production and quality documents. As part of the team, you will assist the Shift Supervisor as required and uphold a safe work environment, ensuring adherence to good housekeeping standards. Furthermore, you will be flexible to fulfill any other duties as requested or directed by the Shift Supervisor or Leadership team to meet the dynamic needs of the business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install precut gaskets onto vacuum & spray tanks as instructed.
- Ensure coiler arms are set to the proper inside diameter.
- Coil pipes neatly and tightly, checking for quality and reporting any issues.
- Maintain cleanliness in the work area and return supplies at the end of each shift.
- Communicate with other operators regarding any issues.
- Complete training requirements in safety, quality control, PE pipe coiling and unloading procedures, and basic extrusion/machine functions.
- 1 year minimum of machine operating experience
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Safety boots/shoes (Steel-toed or hard composite), safety glasses, and hearing protection are mandatory.
- Standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs frequently.
