Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Melbourne, FL. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • An experienced accounting professional to provide leadership as well as drive accounting improvements across a growing company.
  • This person will ensure successful integration of acquisitions, standardization of accounting practices and support periodic external reporting requirements.
  • The assistant controller will help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.
  • Provide comprehensive technical accounting leadership for multiple entities by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points
  • Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to the current economic landscape
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
  • Maximize accounting efficiency through innovative process development
  • Help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies
  • Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all business units with primary focus on newly acquired companies
  • Obtain a knowledge base of the close process in order to replicate and perform for integrating entities and as needed for existing business units
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
  • Work closely with subsidiary companies to mentor and develop increased financial acumen
  • Partner with operations leadership to drive business solutions that maximize risk adjusted profitability
  • Promote and manage operation of IT systems to ensure consistency and efficiencies in job and financial reporting
  • Review and understand job profitability, percentage of completion accounting and associated KPI's and operational levers

Pay: $110k - $120k / Yr.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with financial consulting/auditing

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 4 years experience as a senior-level accounting or finance professional
  • Experience in a commercial accounting organization, with construction industry.
  • Job costing experience
  • Major ERP experience
  • JD Edwards experience
  • CPA
  • As a skilled financial analyst with both communication skills and task focused.
  • Ability to produce accurate financial statements including cash flows
  • Understanding of the audit process with the ability to manage to completion
  • Exemplary history of financial project management

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time
