Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Melbourne, FL. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The client is a motivated individual looking for an exciting opportunity to join the team as an IP Network Engineer to support innovative network solutions.
  • The selected candidate will be working on multiple programs and initiatives for the client as the primary contractor.
  • As an IP Network Engineer, supporting the management and implementation of IP network solutions.
  • The selected candidate will collaborate with internal and external teams.
  • Work independently on projects from start to finish, including developing network designs based on user requirements, creating network diagrams using Visio, configuring network equipment, and full implementation follow-through and documentation of requirements.
  • Evaluate technologies and designs about the critical infrastructure and service needs of the FAA.
  • Implement solutions that support the FAA's NextGen visions and objectives.
  • Serve as the escalation from Tier 1 and Tier 2 Operations teams for escalated problem resolution
  • Implement solutions that support customer visions and objectives
  • Participate in inter-program initiatives and discussions to resolve technical challenges
  • Create and maintain documentation and training for knowledge transfer
  • Evaluate technologies and designs about the critical infrastructure and service needs of external customers
  • Maintain operational excellence of network system and components to exceed customer expectations
  • Define and implement best practices for network and capacity management
  • Identify areas of opportunity for automation and network optimization
  • Routinely perform proof of concepts and service trials while documenting system integration

Pay: $53.50 / hr.

Hours: 9/80 hrs/Week (1st shift) on site

Length: Temp to perm (12 Months)

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • 5 years of similar experience in IP Network Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with IP networks
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in IP Routing
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in Supporting MPLS, BGP from Tmobile, Lumen, Verizon
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in point A to point B in networking
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in implementing the network design, testing, and building of enterprise networks
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in implementing and managing network technologies such as Carrier Ethernet, MPLS, and SDN technologies.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in configuring MPLS, ISIS, QoS, BGP, VPLS, AS prepending, route policies, and in-depth BGP troubleshooting and configuring (Route-leaking, BGP attributes (local and community's))
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in analysis and capacity planning and network architecture for large distributed communications systems
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in peering with Tier 1 Internet Service providers, troubleshooting routing within the Internet
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in leading network vendors such as Cisco, F5, Pulse Secure
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in developing documentation and transfer to functional teams
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Network engineering

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering or Computer Science or Computer Information Systems
  • Experience with Cloud Computing design and implementation
  • Experience with Network Scripting
  • Experience designing and troubleshooting Enterprise VPN environments
  • Large Fortune 500 experience
  • VPN experience
  • Experience with analysis and capacity planning and network architecture for large, distributed communications systems
  • Ability to plan, implement, verify, and troubleshoot local and wide-area enterprise networks.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated customer focus skills
  • Good with at least one other protocol knowledge
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly go-getter
  • Work well in a team environment collaborative
  • CCNP certification(s)
  • Good enterprise network troubleshooting (Multicast, Layer 2, Cisco IOS(s), IP routing [BGP, ISIS, OSPF, and EIGRP], HSRP and physical layer issues (Ethernet, Optical, TDM)).
  • Good skill set with Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Good oral and written communication

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
