ATTENTION MILITARY VETERANS- Did you know that your military training and/or experience could qualify towards an electrical apprenticeship? Interstates' Electrical Apprenticeship program is a 4-year, curriculum-based, hands-on program consisting of approximately 600 hours of formal classroom training combined with 8,000 hours of on-the-job (OJT) training over the course of 4-years. Because our program is registered with the US Department of Labor and Veterans Administration, eligible veterans are able to utilize their G.I. Bill benefits while enrolled in our program! Responsibilities

We are looking for motivated electrical apprentices interested in career development and becoming licensed through our Electrical Apprenticeship Program.


Qualifications

Electrical Technology Degree or training preferred but NOT required / Must be military veteran to be considered for this position.

Location & Travel

This position will require travel throughout the United States on a permanent basis going site to site for Interstates. Job sites can last anywhere from one month to over a year long depending on the project. You will be required to complete a week-long orientation upon hire to complete safety training and skills assessments. Applicants must posess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation. Per diem pay and mileage stipends apply per company policy.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, this role is often exposed to high/precarious places, risk of electrical shock, and all outside weather conditions. This role is expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Due to the nature of our work and our client base, this role may involve tasks in an environment exposed to dust. Candidates should be comfortable working in these conditions and complying with safety standards to protect their well-being.
