We are seeking a well-rounded and highly motivated Research Associate, Technical Operations who thrives in a problem-solving oriented position to join our Technical Operations team. Key responsibilities will include (1) problem solving escalated issues from manufacturing and quality control, (2) making process improvements identified during investigations, and (3) work as part of the Tech Ops team to drive continuous improvement of the customer experience with Quanterix assays.

What You'll Do:

  • Apply technical knowledge of immunoassays, laboratory skills, creative thinking, and aptitude towards instrumentation to troubleshoot assay issues in manufacturing and quality control
  • Develop recommendations for how to correct component or assay issues, primarily through formulation optimization
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Assay Development, Engineering, technical support, and Quality Control groups to support resolution of complex issues
  • Generate high quality data under tight deadlines
  • Support continuous improvement efforts, by evaluating potential process changes in manufacturing and quality control
  • Implement process improvements in manufacturing and quality control, optimizing processes to improve repeatability and reproducibility.
  • Support document updates, revisions, change controls, CAPAs, SOPs, deviations, etc
  • Support Manufacturing and Quality Control by shadowing the process and providing beneficial feedback and knowledge on the process.

What We'll Expect From You:

  • BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, or Life Science
  • 0+ years of industry experience in immunoassay development, life science, biotechnology, or IVD markets.
  • Experience in immunoassay product development nice to have but not required, including: reagent development and optimization, assay protocol optimization, migration of manual assays to automated instrumentation, specifications development, statistical methods, verification and validation protocol writing and execution, conformance with design control regulations
  • Experience with materials and process development a plus
  • Knowledge of chemistry and raw materials a plus
  • Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational, record keeping, and communication skills
  • Comfortable in fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities between active troubleshooting and big picture activities
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Must be proactive
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite such as Word and Excel
