Job Summary

TheElectronic Controls Technician provides electrical and technical support to the facility with an emphasis on troubleshooting existing electrical theory, as well as be proficient in programming and troubleshooting PLC and related systems. The controls technician will also be an ongoing part of the design and upgrading of new and existing equipment for continuous improvement.

Essential Job Duties

  • Provide technical assistance to maintenance personnel on electrical hardware and software to maintain and keep the plant in operation when breakdown occurs.
  • Locate electrical/electric problem areas and design systems to improve operations of plant machinery.
  • Redesign existing electrical systems when the present components are obsolete and no longer available.
  • Coordinate the wiring of electrical equipment and components, maintain documentation to include all back up disks, electrical equipment manuals and updates the plant's specifications of usable electrical components.
  • Assist in the training of plant personnel for electrical safety programs and inspections.
  • Assist with Maintenance parts ordering and services requisitioning processes.
  • Assist plant leadership with Maintenance job planning and task management.
  • Develops new control concepts as required. Has responsibility for all control system designs.

Scope of Responsibility

The job has no supervisory responsibilities. Make sure all electrical work is up to code, within project scope and meets GMP's. Responsible for estimating and ordering supplies for projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma; GED.
  • Experience in Manufacturing facility.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley/Rockwell,VFD's Servos, and motion control.
  • Must be MS Office proficient.
  • Working knowledge and ability to read electrical design prints.
  • 3 + years of experience in industrial PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Industrial/Electrical.
  • All other PLC software experience helpful.

Physical Demands

Job will be 80% in plant environment. Noise level may be high. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Work Environment

Must be able work in hot and dusty environment when needed.




Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$68,310.00 - $109,800.00

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
