Position Summary
This position is integral to the Business Process Analysis, Workflow Solutions, and Business Intelligence services (Application Services) offered within the Terry College, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of Applications Services as a member of the Applications Team. This position involves a high level of customer focus as well as technical knowledge related to Application Services delivery across a variety of platforms. This position also has the ability to identify and separate business needs and objectives from technical needs and specifications.

This individual works autonomously with College administrators to gather requirements, analyze data, and provide business intelligence solutions for decision makers including creating databases, database queries, analytical solutions and reports.

This incumbent performs various application configuration, code changes, and data processing tasks to support existing solutions for academic program and business office staff.

This individual assists the Infrastructure team with application/web server and database administration tasks related to the business intelligence platforms used. These tasks occasionally involve off-hours scheduled maintenance or assisting during unplanned server outages. This employee coordinates with the Service Desk in supporting Applications services, including direct second tier customer support and providing Service Desk training and documentation for Application Services.

This is a security sensitive position with access to and responsibility for effectively protecting FERPA and other sensitive or confidential data sets. The successful candidate will have the desire and ability to learn new technologies and develop new skills on an ongoing basis.

  • Experience in cloud base computing, including bolt on applications.
    • Web Development.
    • CRM technologies
    • Programming experience including but not limited to R, SQL, Apex, Java, Python, HTML, CSS.

Independently gather client requirements, perform business process analysis and then design and implement solutions using a variety of tools
  • MS SQL Server Reporting, Analysis & Integration Services and various reporting, analytics and data integration solutions.
  • Microsoft SharePoint lnfoPath or Google forms and workflow solutions portal for requested client solutions.
  • Salesforce CRM for recruiting, events, tracking, surveys, registration, outreach and other requested processes for Terry College and its associated programs.
  • Develop and code functions not currently available from baseline software.
  • Build reports for clients upon request to provide detailed information on their events or other programs.
  • Build and maintain documentation on newly created code.
  • Review any email deliverables or front facing public solutions to ensure data integrity and adhere to UGA or Terry College guidelines.
  • If the application or software is no longer supported or supports the client needs, review and formalize other software or applications for replacement.

  • Support and maintain current database solutions, Ensure all software and applications meet the requirements of requested solutions.
