Job Description

Job Summary: The Accounting Assistant is responsible for the daily accounting of all cash transactions throughout the organization. The Accounting Assistant initiates wire transfers, ACH transfers and occasionally prepares company checks. The Accounting Assistant also monitors bank balances online and prepares intercompany fund transfers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for tracking, maintaining, and overseeing the daily movement of money in and out of a business' banking accounts.
  2. Maintain all financial records, logs, spreadsheets, and registers.
  3. Reconcile bank statements against the General Ledger, and clears accounts assigned. Prepare customer / intercompany invoices.
  4. Settle intercompany payables and receivables.
  5. Transfers funds for escrow transactions.
  6. Ensure Cinnaire's banking operations; make certain all funds are banked and confirm efficiency and returns.
  7. Monitor cash accounts daily to ensure available funds with the bank are reflected in the general ledger to maintain real-time reporting for operating accounts.
  8. Maintain general ledger account numbers assigned to each investor for capital calls.
  9. Evaluate the effectiveness of operational procedures and controls surrounding treasury function to maximize productivity and minimize error potential.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Associate Degree in Accounting
  • Experience with double entry accounting methodology.
  • 2 years in a previous bookkeeping or treasury role.
  • Proficient in Excel tables) and several Microsoft Office Suite applications (e.g., Teams, Power Automate, Word, PowerPoint, Planner, etc.).

Reporting Relationship: Reports to Assistant Controller

Supervisory Relationship: None

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
