Position Summary

Clinical Research Assistant II

Purpose

Under general supervision, assist in various administrative and data collection aspects of clinical research studies.

Primary Functions

  • Assist with human research studies, including:
    • Coordinating patient visits in the Adult Translational Research Unit (TRU) and inpatient rooms at Froedtert Hospital per study protocol
    • Assembling and preparing required equipment
    • Obtaining consent
    • Maintaining the equipment
  • Organize study participant charts and files, both paper and electronic.
  • Collect required data from study coordinators and research nurses, and enter onto clinical research forms and into computerized databases
  • Verify accuracy of bills and stipends to research participants.
  • Generate letters to be sent to study participants for study recruitment.
  • Provide general clerical support to study team and investigators
  • Collect samples from patients per the study protocol. Transport samples as directed.
  • Compile enrollment materials, study subject charts, and specimen collection kits.

Knowledge - Skills - Abilities

Knowledge of biology, chemistry, mathematics, documentation, and records management. Data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills.


Preferred Schedule:
Full-time role with expectations for coverage during core business hours and flexibility required as necessary to accommodate business needs.


Position Requirements:

Specifications

Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis

Minimum Required Education: High school

Minimum Required Experience: 1 year

Preferred Experience: Patient interaction/Patient Care

Certification: CITI training within 90 days of hire
