WHAT TO EXPECT

As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward-thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Denver office, you will be a team member of the Industrial Pricing and Specification Team, reporting to the Pricing Manager.

  • You'll be responsible for assignments in the Industrial First Fit Market within the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
  • This is an exciting opportunity for you because you will work cooperatively with Customer Service, North American and Global Field Sales, Product Application Engineering, Packaging, Manufacturing, and Marketing.
  • This position is vital to Gates because responsible for item creation for Gates manufactured hydraulic assemblies and meeting profitability goals through development and execution of product pricing and profit strategies for assigned end markets and customers.

Key responsibilities (to name a few):

  • Responsible for price management through price changes, prototype to production requests, deductions, and accrual communications
  • Responsible for timely and profitable quote delivery, tracking and evaluation
  • Responsible for collaborating with sales to develop and enact competitive pricing strategies
  • Responsible for translating and presenting complex data into actionable strategies to increase sales
  • Manage the process of hydraulic assembly item-set-up including but not limited to: interpretation of customer blue prints, building master specifications, and coordinating systems solutions between multiple specification systems
  • Evaluate requests from customer service, marketing, sales and engineering using an understanding of manufacturing processes and industry standards to ensure feasibility
  • Challenge inconsistencies in customer requests and recommend changes and solutions to achieve customer objectives

ABOUT YOU

  • BS/BA or equivalent (4 years of experience) with 1 year of pricing experience, required. Preferred: BS/BA or equivalent (8 years of experience) with 5 years of sales, marketing, or pricing experience
  • Fundamental understanding of business concepts, pricing concepts and financial metrics with the ability to manage complex, highly detailed projects including unscheduled requests resulting in a shift of priorities
  • Self-motivated, capable of seeking quality solutions and continuously focusing on process improvements, while keeping the needs of the business in the forefront.
  • Strong aptitude for analytical analysis
  • High level of efficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access is desired.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office applications, and PDMLink and/or Oracle
  • Capable of building relationships, can communicate effectively and contribute to a highly cross functional team environment
  • Excellent math skills including algebra, equations, fractions and decimals.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

PAY & BENEFITS

  • Full-Time: $65,000 - $70,000
  • Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and other voluntary benefit options: benefits begin on the first day of the month immediately following your date of hire
  • Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation + 11 holidays (9 scheduled & 2 floating) + 8 sick days. All vacation days are accrued
  • 401(k): 3% company contribution and additional 3% company match
  • Tuition Reimbursement
